BUTTER at Indy's Home Court Media Kit

Featured recently on the cover of The New York Times Arts + Culture section, BUTTER, America’s equitable fine art fair, continues to test models towards equity in the arts as it advocates for the care and economic vitality of Black visual artists. The goal of the show is to sell or loan 100% of the exhibiting artworks, giving 100% of the proceeds to the artists, an arrangement made possible by our generous sponsors and the hundreds of creatives and volunteers that bring BUTTER to life.

BUTTER at Indy’s Home Court is the first expansion of the BUTTER brand, elevating Black artists in the national conversation during NBA All-Star Weekend. The basketball-inspired pop-up version will bring the grand energy and intentional curation to this new experience: free and open to the public from February 16-18 at the Indianapolis Artsgarden.

Malina Simone Bacon and Alan Bacon, founders of GANGGANG and BUTTER, will serve as curators for the fair alongside BUTTER Fine Art Fair Director Deonna Craig. Kia Davis returns to the curatorial team as a guest curator, along with first-time guest curator, Alan Mills.
