Working within artist studios and in close relationship with cultural institutions and organizations, Bianca strengthens studio practices and builds the conditions that allow artists to focus on production, while supporting exhibitions, commissions, and public programs from ideation to realization.

As Founder and Principal of Marks on Canvas, Bianca leads a studio and artist management practice working with BIPOC artists to build sustainable, intentional ways of working without compromising creative focus. She acts as both advocate and architect, bridging artists, organizations, and opportunity. Her work often involves thought partnership, project coordination, and communications strategy.

Often described as “the engine that makes art move in Chicago,” Bianca brings a steady, relational approach to aligning creative vision with the resources, logistics, and long-term structures that support artistic work.

She is also a published artist with credits to dozens of outlets such as The New York Times, Forbes, and Sports Illustrated. Deonna is the 2021-2022 Visiting Artist at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum and the 2020-2021 Virtual Resident Artist at The Madam Walker Legacy Center. She is also the President of the Eighteen Art Collective composed of the 18 artists that actualized the Black Lives Matter mural on Indiana Avenue in 2020.

Forbes is dedicated to fostering a gallery space that embraces a wide spectrum of cross-cultural voices, including Latinx, artists from the African diaspora, and Indigenous artists. Her mission has always centered on creating opportunities for those traditionally marginalized and overlooked in the art world.

Art can inspire new ideas and arm future generations with invaluable insight while also incubating generational wealth. In 2023, after a decade of working in New York and Los Angeles, Trotter pivoted—returning to his hometown Detroit to launch a unique brick and mortar concept, the region’s only fine art gallery and bakery. Trotter aims to merge visual and culinary arts in the future, crafting unique forms of hospitality that serve to correct a history of inaccessibility in both industries.

Alan serves on the board for: Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law Board of Visitors, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indiana Repertory Theatre, The Hoosier Salon Society, Carthage College, UNCF Regional Committee. Alan is also a jazz enthusiast and an avid collector of pop and modern art.

She is the Owner/Director of COMPANION, an exhibition, project, and gathering space guided by artist-centered mutualism, and she serves as the Indiana Arts Commission Region 5 Arts Partner. Braydee holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the School of Art at Ball State University.

Alyse holds a Bachelor’s in Art History and Classical Studies from Herron School of Art + Design. She has exhibited her own sculptural and canvas work at exhibitions in Houston, TX and throughout Indiana.

Greg is currently the program coordinator for 10 East Arts and an Artist and Public Life Resident at Big Car. Throughout Greg’s curatorial career, partnerships with galleries and nonprofit agencies have allowed them to create more accessible pathways to sustainability and equity for emerging visual artists in Indianapolis.

In 2020, she published the book You Are an Artist, which brings together more than 50 assignments devised by some of the most innovative artists working today. She is the former curator of contemporary art at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, where she was instrumental in developing The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park: 100 Acres. Green is currently a freelance curator and public art consultant based in Indianapolis.

Upon retirement from higher education, she continued her work as a drum major for justice and equity through education and the arts. She joined Newfields, a 152-acre cultural institution in Indianapolis, Indiana, as President & CEO. During her tenure at Newfields, she was a catalyst for change, lifting the brand through intentional and meaningful community engagement, expanding the programmatic offerings, leading the reimagination of the docent program, building important alliances, executing plans to diversify the collection and the patrons, and uplifting morale. Dr. Burnette is a strong proponent of building strong communities and civic and community engagement. She views the arts as integral to this movement and stays laser-focused on finding resources to make the art accessible to all unleashing the genius often ignored. She is committed to supporting young artists of color, removing all barriers to lifting lives, and elucidating and deconstructing barriers.

Driven by a passion for fostering connections within the BIPOC fine art community, her art advisory primarily focuses on amplifying the voices of emerging and established artists. Through strategic partnerships, she has expanded her mission to advance the role of the black dollar within arts patronage, advocating for greater representation and equity in the arts.
