We can accommodate up to 25 students per class. You must indicate how many students you plan to bring in the form below. Anything beyond 25 students must be arranged directly with BUTTER staff.

Thank you for your interest in BUTTER 2023 Education Day. On Friday, September 1st, we are inviting school groups to join us for a free, hour-long educational experience and peek behind the scenes of BUTTER. Below you will find more information on schedule, FAQs and a final confirmation form to secure your school’s spot.

Schedule
Students will be on site for 60 minutes, rotating between three stations where they will hear from the BUTTER leadership team, one of our curators, and historian Sampson Levingston.
8:30-9:30am: High Schools (Grades 9-12)
9:30-10:30am: Middle Schools (Grades K-8)
11am-12pm: Colleges + Universities

How long will the tours last?
Students will be on site for 60 minutes, rotating between three stations where they will hear from the BUTTER leadership team, one of our curators, and historian Sampson Levingston.
Is there a cost associated with education day?
BUTTER education day is free for all students and their chaperones.
Will food be served to students?
No meal will be served to students during the tour.
What are the parking and arrival procedures?
Upon confirmation of participation, you will be emailed a map and details for drop-off and pick-up procedures. A BUTTER staff member will greet your party upon arrival and walk you through the logistics of the morning.
What time do tours start?
Tours are split up by age group.
8:30-9:30am: High Schools (Grades 9-12)
9:30-10:30am: Middle Schools (Grades K-8)
11am-12pm: Colleges + Universities
If selected, schools will receive an email confirmation with exact arrival and departure procedures. Schools must attend only during the designated times for their age groups.
Does an adult need to be present?
At least one adult chaperone needs to accompany each student group. Student groups will not be permitted to begin a tour without an adult chaperone.
Do educational tours include BUTTER tickets?
BUTTER tickets are not included with educational tours. However, BUTTER is FREE to attend for anyone under 18. Tickets for adults can be purchased HERE.
