Fifth Edition Exhibition to Feature Immersive Art Experiences and New Pop-Up Activations—Including an Exclusive PerryCo Shoe Collaboration and a 5-Course CRG Tasting Experience

INDIANAPOLIS (August 13, 2025) – The fifth edition of BUTTER Fine Art Fair is back and getting bigger and better each day, thanks to a brand new lineup of programming, pop-up activations, and immersive cultural experiences that celebrate Black artistry.


BUDDY RED TO PERFORM LIVE ON 10TH STREET
On Saturday, August 30, BUTTER guests can catch a special rock and blues set by musician Buddy Red, taking place on the 10th Street Performance Stage. This 45-minute set, starting at 8:00PM, is in collaboration with GANGGANG signature program I Made Rock ‘N’ Roll, celebrating BUTTER’s fifth anniversary and amplifying the legacy of Black authorship of the rock genre.

INTRODUCING JU’S JUKE JOINT
New to BUTTER this year is Ju’s Juke Joint, in remembrance of history, heritage, and the music of the African diaspora. A nod to old Indiana Avenue where we once gathered to dance, hear live blues, and celebrate freely, Ju’s is open to BUTTER ticket holders (21+ only) in search of an authentic, even sweaty experience. The pop-up juke joint will feature local music acts like Chreece, Bashiri Asad, Taylor Hall, Clint Breeze, and Rob Dixon, performing live in the bright pink warehouse building on 10th Street (across from The Stutz Building) and will feature multiple local restaurant brands including Maxine’s Chicken and Waffles and Tru-Taste Indy.

NEW 5-COURSE CRG DINING EXPERIENCE IN THE BUTTER LOFT
On Friday, August 29 and Saturday, August 30, BUTTER fans are invited to experience an unforgettable night of culinary and artistic discovery with a special Cunningham Restaurant Group dining experience in the BUTTER Loft. This elevated, five-course, chef-curated tasting menu—crafted by CRG Executive Chef Carl Chambers and Chef de Cuisine and World Food Champion, Colin Hilton—includes wine pairings and General Admission to BUTTER. Each course will be served communal style, in celebration of connection, five years of fine art, and beautiful food. (Tickets are $250 per dinner seat, which includes one GA BUTTER ticket).

PERRYCO SHOES X BUTTER COLLAB
Indiana-native and lifelong sneakerhead turned designer Brittney Perry will be offering a special edition shoe in the BUTTER Shop this year, where attendees can purchase a pair of blank canvas (literally) PerryCo shoes that include paint-pens and stickers for customization.

Three BUTTER artists—Mechi Shakur, Shamira, and Terrible Tony—will be customizing shoes for auction and display in the BUTTER Shop. Each pair of BUTTER x PerryCo shoes (only 95 pairs available for sale) retails at $100 and comes in men’s sizes 5-13. Brittney prides herself in being a unisex brand committed to inclusivity and empowering communities. From sneakers to sunglasses, PerryCo represents affordable luxury with a purpose.

BOTANICAL DESIGNS BY GROUNDED PLANT & FLORAL CO.
This year, Grounded Plant & Floral Co. is leading plant design across the BUTTER footprint to accomplish the creative vision for BUTTER 2025. With direction from Alan and Mali Bacon, Natalie Harris, Grounded’s B2B & Events Manager, designed site-specific installations that will use preserved moss, trailing ivy, and large-scale greenery to shape how people move through and experience the space. Grounded will also feature a curated selection of pre-potted plants, plant tools, and plant-inspired home goods in the BUTTER Shop. Don’t miss Grounded’s brick-and-mortar location in the northeast corner of the Stutz building, off of 11th and Capitol.
