BUTTER Walk and Talk Tours
Saturday, September 3 | 2pm (SOLD OUT), 6pm (SOLD OUT)
Sunday, September 4 | 1:15pm (SOLD OUT), 4:15pm (SOLD OUT)
Join Indiana history lover, Sampson Levingston, of Through2Eyes as he uses this year’s BUTTER art, artists, and venue to paint a picture of the city’s history and tell us why it’s so important to have Black art back in this neighborhood! These LABOR DAY WEEKEND ONLY Walk & Talks will focus on the neighborhood that was between Crispus Attucks High School and The Stutz Building. Around 75 years ago there were plenty of Black homes, schools, churches and businesses in the area. Join Sampson and take a deep dive into what happened and why.
Two public tours on Saturday, and Sunday, 45 mins each (30 mins outside and 15 inside The Stutz).
These tours are FREE with your ticket to BUTTER but please RSVP below.
